The story

An institutional-luxe reception lounge for the dean's office at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia. Book-matched marble panels inlaid with slim brass reveals anchor the room, navy velvet and blush lounge chairs gather around a stone-topped coffee table, and a scatter of hexagonal acoustic tiles drifts across the walls like an art installation. Tall heritage windows, warm terracotta floor tiles and a sculptural timber ceiling light lend the dignity and richness expected of a faculty's most formal room.
