The story

Designed as a breathable home for a family of five, the Edge House creates a welcoming connection to its neighborhood through a unique semi-public front plaza. This terrace celebrates the homeowner's weekend hobby of bike riding. A roster brick garage opens to park bikes after a ride, allowing fellow bikers to gather and relax in the plaza. The home's facade makes a modern and natural statement with a black and white color palette complemented by a wood louvre second skin. This dynamic facade connects the inside to the outdoors and projects an interesting play of light and shadow throughout the interior. Within the inside space, a large void and a functional attic provide a surprising sense of spaciousness. It crafts a comfortable environment perfect for family life.
